When you need it

The most common reason is a faulty dashboard. A cluster from a breaker or an online seller will show whatever the donor car had covered, which can be tens of thousands of miles out. The same happens when a new cluster arrives from the dealer reading zero. Modern vehicles also store mileage in several other modules, so swapping one part can leave readings that don’t match and trigger warning lights or service-interval errors.

How we do it

We read the mileage from every module that stores it, confirm the correct figure with you (old cluster, MOT history or service records) and write that value to the replacement part. Where needed we also code the new cluster to the car so the immobiliser, service indicators and options work exactly as before.

What to have ready

Your registration, the make and model, and the correct mileage with any evidence you have. If the old cluster still powers up, keep it. Its reading is the best reference.
